Was the sea rough? I've been on a boat. Me Cornwall mate's dad makes sails and let me drive his little yacht for a bit. I did get cracked on the head by that boom thing that swings around, but it was good fun. Went to a mariners club and spoke to these crusty old sailor types, all "oo-argh and splice me mainbrace with a barrel a rum" Hey, You'd look just dandy in a pirate hat!
It was rough, but it was sooooo beautiful. Words can't even describe. It was down in homer on a halibut fishing boat. A truly amazing day. I'd play that day over and over again if I could. Being sick for a little there in the middle was totally worth it.
I accidentally reeled in a few small sharks too. It was surprising. haha.
It'd be fun to go talk with old sailor's their usually very interesting, and have great stories, and a very intense presences, they look beautiful in black and white photo's ^.^
Hahahahaha. Homer on a Halibut. There's an image. But on a proper fishing boat. I've seen "the Deadliest Catch" as well as "Ice road Truckers. It's all going on up there! Bet the sharks were surprised too. There's a Polish restaurant down the road that has shark on the menu. Can't see the connection myself. I agree that the sailors I saw, would definately not look their best in colour.
hahaha. I've never eaten shark, I wonder what it's like. It seems like it's something you shouldn't eat, I don't know why.. but it's like a dolphin or something. I watch Discovery's Animal Planet "River Monsters".. at least that's what I think it's called. Anyway I saw people on an island that hunt and eat sharks. It was really interesting. I watch the discovery channel all day. haha.
I've seen an episode of "River Monsters" This bloke jumps into a river full of piranhas, but they don't eat him cos the're not hungry, or he's not bleeding, or because he's a twat. I wouldn't eat shark either. I do have cod liver tablets, cos the're meant to be good for you. I think if I have half a peanut butter sandwich and a handful of vitamin pills, somehow, I'll be healthy, but people keep telling me different.
